The Yorkshire and the Humber Learning and Development Committee was formed on the 3rd June 2009 to support the needs of local Non Executive Directors. The Committee meets to review and decide on learning and development activities that are available to Non Executive Directors across Yorkshire and the Humber. It also gathers learning and development needs, collects and collates related information and helps design, commission, organise and evaluate events and support.
The Committee is made up of Non Executive Directors and Chairs from across the counties of the region and represents all of the organisations that make up the NHS in Yorkshire and the Humber (Ambulance, Primary Care, Hospital Trusts, Mental Health and Foundation Trusts). The Committee is chaired by Kathryn Riddle, NHS Yorkshire and the Humber Chair, and is supported by John Hunter, dedicated to operating and managing the programme. The members of the Committee are:

Each meeting centres around the reviewing of feedback from Non Executive Directors about events they have attended locally, looking at what is going on elsewhere, considering what other organisations are offering and discussing proposals for future learning and development activity.
