The Organisation and Leadership Development team at NHS Yorkshire and the Humber provides the following support:

OD Support to SHA as an organisation

We aim  to support Y&H SHA, and any new organisations emerging from the “Liberating the NHS” change process  in becoming excellent organisations. We will do this by:

  • OD Strategy development, Planning and implementation support
  • SHA whole organisation workshops
  • Supporting SHA Board development
  • Supporting Strategic Change programmes including SAAP, Commissioning and Provider Development
  • Contributing to HR Change Programme.

Developing High Performing Boards

We offer  support to all NHS boards in Yorkshire and the Humber region to provide effective governance and leadership during this period of significant change.  This includes:

  • Guidance and consultancy support to boards on commissioning and designing diagnostic and development interventions
  • Provision of a 360 Diagnostic Intervention
  • Development programme for Chairs and Non Executive Directors
  • Board Observations and developmental feedback.

Supporting Regional OD Provision

During this period of major organisational change, we offer NHS organisations in Y&H

  • Guidance on commissioning OD support for their organisations
  • Guidance and consultancy support on OD planning and strategy development
  • OD Support for specific regional change programmes e.g. community services provider development
  • Support for the regional human resources change programme
