Eligibilty for Train to Gain Funding
The Regional Partnership between the NHS and the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) in Yorkshire and the Humber will be coordinating the allocation and delivery of training opportunities available to the NHS under the Train to Gain service.
These places are available from 1st April 2010 and are Yorkshire and the Humber wide. Training will be provided by approved LSC training providers. Candidates must be registered by 31st March 2011.
NHS organisations are expected to take advantage of the range of training opportunities available. Details are contained in the SHA Funding Guide 2010 - 2011, but in summary these include:
Fully funded:
- First NVQ Level 2 or additional Level 2 if a vocational priority
- First NVQ Level 3 if aged 19-25
- First NVQ Level 3 if aged 25+ and providing no other qualifications are held (Level 3 Jumpers)
- First NVQ Level 4 of aged 10-25 and providing no other qualifications are held (Level 4 Jumpers)
Partially funded:
- First NVQ Level 3 if aged 25+
- Additional NVQ Level 3 for all ages
- NVQ Levels 4 and 5 for all ages
To qualify for Train to Gain funding a learner must meet the eligibility criteria above and
- be employed by the NHS organisation
- be aged 19 or over
