White paper.jpgIt is a requirement of the NMC (2004) Midwives rules and standards that the Local Supervising Authority (LSA) will arrange for the Local Supervising Authority Midwifery Officer (LSAMO) to complete an annual audit of the practice and supervision of midwives within its area to ensure the requirements of the NMC are met. 

 

The Yorkshire and Humber LSA Supervisors of Midwives Audit Group has produced a new audit tool and process for the 2010/11 audit cycle with the support and advice of supervisors of midwives, midwifery educationalists, heads of midwifery services, maternity service liaison committees and service user representatives.  All the necessary information and audit tools are accessible via this page.
