What is the Choose well campaign?
The Choose well campaign aims to help people choose the right NHS service to make sure they get the best treatment if they become unwell or are injured.
By going to the most appropriate place patients can be seen quicker, get the most appropriate care and also help to alleviate pressure on A&E departments.
The campaign is not about dissuading anyone from coming to A&E. It is about informing people that there are a whole range of NHS services which they can access which may better serve their needs. This can also make a big difference to the workload of A&E doctors and nurses.
